    Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Confirmed

    The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini has been confirmed.A twitter user st7761 found the I9190 model number on Samsung’s support page, along with three other I919X devices.


     The I9192 is the dual sim version,  the I9195 is the LTE versionand the I9198 is the chinees versions of the S4 mini.The info on Samsung’s support page identifying the I9190 seems to have been taken down after the news have been leaked.

    Just for a quick reminder The Galaxy S4 mini is expected to be launched  in June orJuly. The device will have a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256ppi , 1.6GHz Dual-Core CPU and based on TW Nature UX 2.0 running on Android 4.2.2.     It came with a bang and went without no one noticing.Yes some might ask :have you gone mad? No guys Iam talking about the phones that had 3D screens,the HTC EVO 3D and the LG Optimus 3D.Well if you did it's a good time to regain your memory.

     Well that phones had many drawbacks as many felt headache using the device because you have to stare at the screen directly.This problem went to the decline of these devices.An unworthy ending to an artistic piece of technology.

    Any ways HP claims that they have solved these problems and their new discovery allows the user to be positioned at as much as a 45 degree angle in any direction to the screen and still see the images in 3D. HP scientists used nanotechnology to etch into the glass, multiple circles with tiny grooves. The grooves bend light into 64 points of view. As a user views the screen and moves it, he will see two of these points at one time, one with the left eye and one with the right, creating the 3D effect.The article's lead author, David Fattal, compared the effect to the hologram of Princess Leia from the classic Star Wars. Fattal said that the image won't pop out as much as Princess Leia's did in the movie.

We were just banged hard with the release of the most amazing smartphone till date-the Samsung Galaxy S4.With all it's flame still not burned off ,here we have the proof  for it's first sibling-the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.Yesterday sammobile published some of it's leaked images of the upcoming S4 mini.

    The Galaxy S4 mini is expected to be launched  in June orJuly. The device will have a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD display with a pixel density of 256ppi , 1.6GHz Dual-Core CPU and based on TW Nature UX 2.0 running on Android 4.2.2.      This is nothing to be compared with the S4 though,but it's a complete powerhouse for those who think that the 5" S 4 is too large for them or the price is too high.Keep ruling Samsung.

    Asus Releases Software Update for Padfone 2-Improves Stability And Camera

    The successor of Asus Padfone1,one of the most innovative gadgets in the Mobile industry,the Asus Padfone 2 receives  a new software update which brings a couple of new features and improves on the old ones. The update brings the software to version V10.4.12.24, Android version remains at 4.1.  

     The camera firmware was updated with optimized HDR mode and automatic brightness control.Wi-Fi connections should be more stable after the update too. Thenew features include NFC file sharing from Asus Studio and the new Asus Story app. The lockscreen has been updated as well and several of the existing apps had some work done as well, including the Contacts app, Email app, weather and battery widgets.

    Earlier today we reported Mediatek powered 5" 1080P devices are on it's way.Yesterday @evleaks sentout a tweet showing off an upcoming device from Huawei - the AscendG700.

    Apart from the pictures @evleaks  said that the phone will  run Android 4.2, a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, and will come in both WCDMA and TD-SCDMA variants. It will also have 5-inch1080Pdisplayalongside 2GB of RAM.The pricing for the phone is not yet comfirmed.


    Kobo Releases Android 4.1.1 Update For It's Arc Tablet

    The affordable Kobo tablet receives it's Jelly Bean update today.The Arc is running a custom user interface, but that won't stand in the way it getting a bunch of new features and improvements with this update.

     The new update would bring Google Now, Project Butter,expandable notifications and Face Unlock, but, probably more importantly, will also improve the performance of the tablet.

    Mediatek is a chipset which provides high quality for cheap price.It is a Taiwanese based company and big name manufacturers like Sony, Lenovo, Huawei and ZTE are all expected to launch devices with the MediaTek chip. MediaTek’s quad-core MT6589  is a cheap Quad core chip set and most 1080p smartphones in China, are powered by it.  Overall, the chip maker has partnered with 20 manufacturers, all expected to roll out devices with its silicon in March to April. To help its popularity, MediaTek is expected to slash the price of the chip by 10% from April.

     This could well mean we will see 1080P screen on mid range devices this year.In china MediaTek’s quad-core MT6589 powered 1080P devices are sold for $200 ,with out a contract.Today all the high end devices such as the S4,HTC One ,Xperia Z are featuring a 1080P screen and theyare all priced over $500 with out a contract,which is not affordable for a normal day man.Eventhough the MediaTek’s quad-core MT6589 cannot match the raw power of Snapdragon 600,800 & Exynos 5 chipsets,it can provide decent performance for a normal user.

     These phones are expected to arrive in the end of Q3 or at the beginning of Q4

    Samsung To Launch Full Hd AMOLED Screened Tab With Top Specs.

    Sources report  that Samsung will  be aiming to implement their top specsin to Tablet designs as well challenging the  Apple's iPad line and Sony's Xperia Tablet Z, with an upcoming Full HD Super AMOLED tablet, named the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus.

    The insiders also hinted that it will be powered by an Exynos 5-series chipset, and might be ready in time for IFA 2013 unveiling at the end of August.Samsung is really pushing things trying to take on the I pad rule on the tab market.

    Nokia has now launched two new camera applications for it's first generation of lumia phones.The new apps are Camera Extras and Cinemagraph and are available for Lumia WP7-running 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900.
    Both these camera apps were previously  available on Windows Phone 8-powered Lumias such as the 920,820 and so on. The Camera Extras offers Smart Shoot, Action Shot, Panorama and self-shot feature, and the Cinemagraph shoots a few seconds short video and transforms in into an animated picture (gif).
    I thing Nokia has followed the footsteps of Samsung on giving updates to old phones.Good job Nokia.Keep up the good work.

    Sony Xperia Z Phones Suffering From Sudden Deaths

    The latest flagship phones from Sony -the Sony Xperia Z  are suffering from sudden deaths.

    There is no particular reason for the occurrence. Some of the  users have blamed low battery for this issue to occur. But others have had their Xperia Z darkout with plenty of charge left in its battery.
    Sony has taken the issue seriously and promised  a fix is on it's way. It will be delivered to the users through a software update.

    UK version Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 To come With Snapdragon 600

    It has been confirmed that the UK version of the samsung galaxy S4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 600 processor .Samsung has already confirmed the Galaxy S4 flagship will ship with Snapdragon 600 chipset in the USA, Canada and Sweden. 


    Just to remember you there are two varients of samsung galaxy s4,one powered with the Snapdragon 600 and the other with the Exynos 5 Octa.The Exynos 5 Octa chipset features two processors (which can't operate simultaneously) - a quad-core 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A15 CPU used for heavier loads and a quad-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A7 CPU for lighter tasks. The Exynos 5 Octa also features a tri-core PowerVR     
                                                                       SGX544MP3 graphics.                    


    The Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 chipset comes with a quad-core Krait 300 processor and Adreno 320 graphics. In the Galaxy S4 models to use it, the four Krait 300 cores are clocked at 1.9GHz and as we saw in our preview that was enough to beat every other phone  tested so far.
    The main reason for sammy to vomite the Exynos 5 Octa could be that  LTE-enabled Galaxy S4 model (I9505) is the one based on the Snapdragon 600 chipset, while the Exynos 5 Octa one (I9500) won't feature LTE connectivity. That's  why  key markets such as USA, Canada, UK are getting the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 - because of the LTE availability in those countries.

    The HTC 603e, which leaked last month,has become official and it's a mid-range smartphone just for the Chinese market. It will be known officially as the HTC e1 and  pre-orders  starts today. Pricing is set at 1799 yuan, which equals to about $290.
    It is a dual-SIM handset running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC's own Sense custom interface  on top of it. The processor is clocked at 1.15GHz and is  dual-core ,  the 4.3-inch LCD2 display has a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. Further specs include a 5-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and HTC ImageChip, 8GB of storage, Beats Audio enhancements, and a 2,100mAh battery. The HTC e1 will come in a variety of pastel colors, including pink, blue, mint, and brown.

    The most rarest stock android device the Google Nexus 4 is back in the UK playstore.The phone will be shipped 3 to 5 days after an order is received, and is priced at 239 GBP ($362 USD) for the 8GB model and 279 GBP ($422 USD) for 16GB.

     The handset is truely an artistic piece.Powered by the stock Android version 4.2.2 it brings the complete pleasure of using an android handset.

     Early this year, the phone had its longest period of availability in the U.S.and T-Mobile was even able to put the device on sale. While Google is now taking orders for the phone in the U.S., it won't ship until March 29th.

    This is an intresting table indeed.As you can see the most expensive thing in the S4 & the S3 is their Super AMOLED panels and the cheapest is the battery.Every details are selfexplanatory .

    The production cost of the most powerful android device is $244 and is sold in Europe for 600-700 Euros.
    This is not just the case of Samsung .The manufacturing cost of all high end devices are similar,but the companies sell it for double or even triple the production cost.Apart from the production cost the mobiles will carry extra charges including Tax,but in my opinion a 10-15% reduction in price would be nice.

These include a Snapdragon 800 chip, which is currently among the fastest smartphone SoCs , a 5-inch screen with 1080p resolution, a 13MP snapper is also said to be part of the set - presumably an Exmor RS camera made by Sony, and a beefy, 3000mAh battery.

    Release Date And Price Of Nokia Lumia 520& 620 Confirmed For India

    The Nokia  Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 are entry-level and mid-level devices respectively , will be hitting   the Indian market soon. Sources  indicate that the Lumia 520 will be making its debut in India before the end of March.

     The Lumia 520will have a  reasonable price of ₹11,599 ($213). The phone is powered by a  1GHz dual-core Snapdragon procesor will have no problems handling Windows Phone 8. There is  8GB of storage onboard expandable via micro SD up 64GB.

     The Lumia 720 should be available on April 27th and will be priced ₹17,000 ($312). The handset, has a capable camera (6.7MP vs. 5MP) and NFC capabilities with this price. The Lumia 720 also has a front facing camera and will support wireless charging.


    LG Rolls Out JB Update For Optimus 4X and L Series

    LG has confirmed the Jelly bean update for the Lg Optimus 4X HD and the L series through their official German Blog.Lg will only roll out the update for only the unlocked international models and the carrier specific models will only get the update slowly,since the carriers have to approve the update.

     The Jelly Bean update will bring Project Butter and  Google Now available to the device. Newly added features include faster NFC transmission through Android Beam 2.0, Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS), as well as expandable notifications. The update will roll out by the end of March. Users will be able to update via LG's Mobile Support-Tool.

    The Road Ends Here For NovaThor

    STMicroelectronics and Ericsson the creators of the NovaThor line of mobile processors  announced yesterday the end of their largely nonprofitable mobile chip-making journey. The two manufacturers will split up and this  split will move  1,800 employees under Ericsson throughout Sweden, Germany, India and China, while STMicro will retain about 950 employees in France and Italy.Sadly another 1,600 will lose their jobs.

     It's a fact that ST-Ericsson had failed to turn a profit ever since its foundation in 2008.The reason for the decline is that the loss of orders from Nokia, and other major companies who used it in their in their phones.

    OPPO has announced tha tfrom  April 1st onwards, its flagship model will be available in black in China. The phone looks extremely different in black than it did in white. The black version of the OPPO Find 5 has a sleek elegance to it, something that doesn't come out in the white model. Pricing has not been confirmed, but if it is like the white version, it will be about $499 for 16GB model and $569 for 32GB off contract.

     The OPPO Find 5 is a high end device  with  2GB of RAM, a quad-core processor, 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5 inch FHD display with a 441ppi pixel density with unibody polycarbonate casing.

    HTC One Will Be Delayed Due To Parts Shortage

    Reports suggest that the latest Flagship phone form HTC ,the HTC One will not hit the markets due to shortage of parts.The HTC One was told to hit the market in March,but in the current situation it will be delayed till April or even more.

    HTC was one among the companies that was resurrected last year.The situation could've been much worse ,if HTC had'nt launched good phones like the HTC One x. HTC launched an amazing device with uniquue features,such as the 4 MP Ultrapixel camera and an  with aluminium unibody this year.But for their bad luck these unique materials are suffering the shortage.

     “The company has a problem managing its component suppliers as it has changed its order forecasts drastically and frequently following last year's unexpected slump in shipments. HTC has had difficulty in securing adequate camera components as it is no longer a tier-one customer,” an unnamed HTC executive told The Wall street Journal. 

     If this is is the case,then it is bad news for current CEO Peter Chou who reportedly told company executives he will step down if the HTC One doesn’t succeed.

    Samsung Galaxy Note3 Rumors

    Samsung will be allegedly meeting with AT&T officials this week to showcase a 5.9" Galaxy Note 3 as rumors suggest.These won't be working prototypes, but rather mockups hinting at the design, with no internals fleshed out yet.


    The Note 3 will hit the markets with a 1080 P Super Amoled display and also with a stylus which will obviously have new triks of it's sleeve.This blows away the 6.3" rumor that's been  about for a while now, but the source says this large panel is actually heading to a more affordable device slated for release soon to combat giants like the Huawei Ascend Mate in emerging markets.

    The Lumia 928 is the Verizon-bound brother of the 
    Lumia 920 .As you can the camera samples on the left and the right are pictures taken from the Lumia 
    928.The pictures are extremely good and sharp and doesn't ruin the reputation of providing high quality camera phones.


    As in the pictures shown below showcases the Lumia 928,which is having a silver aluminum-clad body that the Lumia 928 , replacing the polycarbonate body of the Lumia 920.Apart from that, we can catch a glimpse of the unorthodox flash placement, which adds credibility to previous to Xenon and LED-flash combo rumors.
    As for the front-facing camera, it remains the same 1.3MP snapper found on the Lumia 920, and is capable of shooting stills of 720p resolution. The lens aperture is reported by the EXIF as f/2.4. The  rumors suggested the chipset, display, connectivity options and OS version of the Lumia 928 are said to remain same to the Lumia 920.









    Samsung Galaxy S4 Blows Away The Competition In Benchmarks

    Samsung Galaxy S 4 scores twice the iPhone 5 at benchmarks, beats all other Androids, too

    Well Well Well....What do we have here.(Sorry about that,because I was laughing the whole time seeing this benchmark result).

     Ok let's get to the technical part.Primate Labs, makers of the Geekbench app took the flagships for a benchmark ride.The results emerged out of it was staggering as the newly announced samsung galaxy S4 made all it's competitors a laughing stock.

     The S4 that took for the benchmark is powered by the same Snapdragon 600 powering the HTC One (HTC One is clocked at 1.7 GHz & S4 is clocked at 1.9 GHz). But sadly HTC never came near the S4.
    Now as for the other guys in the list which always blames samsung phones for not having a premium look,well they became speechless as sammy's S4 scored double the score.

    Sony announces the Sony Xperia SP,an android phone.The mid-ranger  runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with a 4.6" 720p Bravia Engine 2 LCD and a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960Pro chipset.
    It has a dual core clocked at 1.7 GHz,  Adreno 320 GPU for graphics. There's 8GB of storage,that can be expanded witha microSD . The 8 megapixel camera is capable of shooting 1080p video and there's a VGA front-facing camera to make video calls.

    The connectivity includes the usual Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS, Wi-Fi and MHL-powered microUSB as well as NFC and LTE.The battery inside the Sony Xperia SP has a capacity of 2370 mAh, which has the Sony made Stamina mode, for power saving.

    The Sony Xperia SP should be available in white, red and black and will be available from Q2, but the pricing is not yet to be confirmed.

    Sony as always started their trend of announcing phones with in every 2 weeks.Today Sony announced the Xperia L which is a "midranger".But I think Sony has done some homework here because, the phone is equipped with an 8MP camera, which uses Sony's latest mobile Exmor RS sensor and offers a built-in HDR mode for both stills and video.Out of the ordinary it also has a dedicated camera button.

     The Sony Xperia L also features a 4.3" screen with a resolution of 480x800 with a scratch resistant glass.Under the hood there's a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8230 chipset, which utilizes a CPU with two Krait cores so performance should be good enough.One of its highlights is the LED at the bottom of the handset, which produces some neat illumination effects matching in color the image you are looking at on the screen.
     The device also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G HSPA connectivity are a given, but there's also NFC support for one-touch connecting to NFC-capable accessories.The Xperia L has a 1900mAh battery and a battery STAMINA Mode for optimizing power consumption.
    The Xperia L will be available in white, red or black and will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight from its launch in Q2 this year.

    The most amazing smart phone yet has announced it's price in Europe.It will cost you about £529 (about $800) for the 16GB version, to get your hands on this amazing device.

     Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S4 is available for free from T-Mobile, Orange, O2 and Vodafone on £31 per month plan and with a two year contract.The pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is no longer a mystery as the device is said to cost $579 for the 16GB model in US.The Galaxy S4 is currently priced at €660 over at Amazon DE, and similar pre-order prices are popping up across Europe.
    For a reminder the International version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV is  powered by the Exynos 5 Octa chipset, which features four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.6GHz, four Cortex-A7 cores running at 1.2GHz and the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU(probably this will hit the Europian markets). There will be a second version for some markets, which will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with its 4 Krait 300 cores and Adreno 320 GPU . Both versions will offer LTE connectivity and 2GB of RAM.

    At the back, the Samsung Galaxy S IV will feature a 13 MP sharpshooter, while on the front a 2.1MP camera will take care of video chats and a host of new features that involve eye-tracking and hand-tracking.It Runs On Android 4.2.2.

    Nokia lumia 520 will hit the Indian shores soon.The Nokia India online store is announcing the coming availability of the low priced Nokia Lumia 520 in the region. The launch date is still not confirmed .

    The Lumai 520 was announced by Nokia in the MWC held in Barcelona this year.Lumia 520 features a 4 inch, LCD, WVGA display of 235ppi PPI. Powered by a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8227 processor with the Adreno 305 GPU handling graphics. The 512MB of RAM gives away the phone's status although the 8GB of native storage can be enhanced with a 64GB capacity microSD slot. The 5MP camera on back captures video in 720p at 30fps and there is a 1430mAh battery   The phone will be available in five colors, Black, Yellow, Cyan, Red or White.The Nokia Lumia 520 is the cheapest windows phone 8 device. The device will cost around 140 EUR ($180 USD). That would work out to a price under 10,000 INR.

    Price of samsung galaxy S4 in the US has been revealed.The company website revealed the price on a ongoing giveaway. Each of the 48 Galaxy S4 phones that are up for grabs has been listed with an “approximate retail value” of $579 for 16GB(probanly exclusive of taxes).

     Any ways if the price is like this,the sony xperia z and the HTC one will have a hard time in the US since they are priced bigger.
